Texas is south, but have you spent any time in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia or Arkansas? You really get the feel of the oppression in these deep south states.

And as you said intolerance is every where. The more republicans the more intolerant.

I said your reply was impish and ignorant. Go re-read your reply, and you'll see the impish and ignorant parts, if you don't then there is nothing more for me to try to explain.

If you can't separate policy from politics, then you'll have a hard time understanding why politicos do what they do. It's not always cut and dried. Work on the differences between the policy and the politics of the war in Iraq, then get back to me.

What part of the fact that the republican party is predominantly white are you having a problem with?

I find Texans to be far less racist than New-Yorkers.
