My opinions not worth much today, will be a better tomorrow.
You mentioned volume so I took a look at amgn, and did not see much correlation to the price.
But then I'm not a volume person.
Looking at some other stocks, it appears that buying after a few days of low volume days is a good entry point. Inconsistant, sometimes works, sometimes cant see a volume difference.
One of those measurments which cannot be used by itself, but which could give a bit of advantage on trading or buying a stock. Seems some logic to it,
I like buying a stock that has been doing nothing recently, so the price is flat, and probably that is because of, or in conjunction with, the volume being down for lack of trading
