Lets look at just one country...
There are _11_ American Cemeteries in france maintained by the US Government Honoring 66,033 Americans Killed fighting for the french
Thanks france

UW, those were different times, and different wars. I could ask (because I am Indian born), How many cemeteries are outside India for the Indian soldiers who lost their lives as part of the British Empire ?

I dont ask, because I really believe "those were them days, these days will be different".

In fairness to France, they did support the American Revolution and no doubt many of them died in the process.
