The poll found Medicare is a key issue for voters. Some eighty percent of people polled said they'd be upset if Congress doesn't deliver a Medicare prescription drug plan this year. A two-to-one margin of those who said they'd be upset say they'd blame Republicans if no drug plan passes.

The poll of one-thousand and four adults was taken November 14th through 16th.

And among the first spate of primaries, there is no clear common leader: Dick Gephardt is ahead by a nose in Iowa; Howard Dean is way out front in New Hampshire; and John Edwards and Wesley Clark are neck and neck in South Carolina.
