inflation brings with it inflated prices in investment vehicles.....speaking of equities here. As long as the stock market is going up, everything must be great, right? (that's one of those rhetorical and facetious questions).

I find it very disturbing, but my point is that it can give the illusion that there is growth.

What part do you think politics is playing in the economy now with election year upon us? Some inflation would be good for Bush wouldn't it? But not runaway inflation. Then after the election clamp down on inflation and let the housing market crash.
