I understand AARPs reasoning. They want a foot in the door and they hope to leverage an increase in benefits at a later time. This bill makes no economic difference to me. All of my prescriptions are already paid for by the government. I just want all Seniors to have the same plan I have.

I saw their representative on TV. He explained they didn't really like the bill, but something was better than nothing, and there are people that need help NOW that are being raped by the big drug companies, which are also big Bush-monkey contributors. So, they held their nose and supported it. The drug companies are happy, because now they'll get tax money instead of sick, dying seniors.
