I'll admit nothing. Interest rates, look again at your own tables, were (on average) through entire term far higher under Reagan then Carter.

In addition you will see that RATES truly came down and, more or less, stayed down under Clinton.

Do you want me to do the MATH for you on both inflation and rates -- and also an after inflation "REAL" rates?

I'm willing -- are you ready? I'll use your tables.

...and again this info you provided has nothing to do with the National Debt (borrowing) -- it in fact confirms my contention due to the very fact that rates did not truly come down till the recession in BUSH I's era -- that Clinton inherited. They could not come down because of DEFICITS and excessive borrowing at a compound rate of 13+% annually over 12 years. Greenspan was FORCED to bring them WAY down in the early 90's to stimulate the slow economy.
