The government has decided to destroy the dollar (maybe in order to save the dollar! -- where have we heard that before?!) Look at gold shooting up. Nobody but a few bozos believe in government statistics about inflation either.

In the coming years, hyper-inflation is the only way out, considering the humongous debt levels. However, they will have to keep pretending that inflation is low, and they do have a bunch of Arthur Anderson and Enron guys to play with the numbers until they see what they want to see.
