Truly so, were I to expect that to happen anytime in the near future.

But it's far more likely that Europe will see double digit unemployment long before the US ever does.

Especially with Bush's apparent strategy to wage some economic currency wars with those who think they can just dump their products on US markets.

By permitting the USD to decline, Bush is effectively calling Europe and Asia's bluff and making US goods more competitive against their own.

And they are carrying our debt because they don't want to see their own currencies climb any higher by converting USD for deployment at home.
