All good points..

But that authoritarian government is antithetical to the decentralization of ideas and information through the internet.

China's government is transitioning from Marxist to Fascist, with the political elite empowering a private sector to provide what the elites desire, but constraining it from true economic freedom.

And sure they can do without America. But what other market is available for their goods? Europe? Japan?

The US makes up 30% of the total global GDP. And with a declining USD, it might surpass that percentage within several years.

Under different circumstances, where our competitors were relatively equal in capabilities, I'd worry. But China has a long way to go, with an economy 1/10 the size of the US, but with a population 4 times as large.

But don't get me wrong.. I'm not discounting the potential challenge.
