Morning, surf. I guess I'm surprised that GTL technology, in general, doesn't engender more interest amongst energy investors. It looks like Shell, Sasol, Exxon, and Conoco will have announced huge GTL projects in Qatar by the end of the year and the Energy Bill is loaded with significant benefits for domestic GTL applications using coal and coal waste products. Many clean coal/IGCC powerplant tax credit/subsidy benefits are listed in 'Title IX - Research and Development' and 'Title IV - Coal; Subtitle A - Clean Coal Power Initiative' sections of the Energy Bill:

Interestingly, 'Section 937. FISCHER-TROPSCH DIESEL FUEL LOAN GUARANTEE PROGRAM' contains specific GTL loan guarantees:

"DEFINITION OF FISCHER-TROPSCH DIESEL FUEL. — In this section, the term ‘‘Fischer-Tropsch diesel fuel’’ means diesel fuel that —

(1) contains less than 10 parts per million sulfur; and
(2) is produced through the Fischer-Tropsch liquification process from coal or waste from coal that was mined in the United States"
