Hi elmat, I know about the BMI. As far as losing muscle yes a problem but in actuality I'm bigger and stronger than in my 20's. I smoked, drank and other things far too much. I weighed 65-66 kilos in my twenties. I've been been good since and even the smoking has been gone 10 plus years now. BTW I exercise a lot also for bone density, more problematic for me. I have a body that loses calcium easily (any animal protein abets that) and need to watch my diet accordingly as well as the exercise. Bone density also starts declining with the muscle mass. I don't want to wake up one morning and discover my butt is gone :o) You got to really work at it.

OT / BMI does not account for muscle mass. Our new Governor would show up as mildly obese... as would many American Football defensive linemen, who do carry some fat.
