M, the message is that it's a lot more fun playing "Make a great show of protecting The President" than it is hanging out in the heat and dust of Iraq where real bombs, bullets and rockets go off and actually kill people. Plus, they all live in the UK anyway and so the cost is low to march up and down presenting arms in Whitehall. It's good for tourism too. The most dangerous gang in the UK is the IRA [Gerry Adams and co-gangsters] and they like Americans; who used to send them lots of terrorism support [money] with which the IRA could blow up men, women and children.
