Mark, back to the P3 for a moment...

One of the points of contention has been whether the patients will see an improvement in quality of life. We have Dr Pugen's observations, Meunster, and Vanderbilt that indicate there will be an improvement.

What follows relates to the dialogue with twentyfirstcenturyfox (fox, are you still with us?) about WF10 in Thailand...

"...Due to the fact that she continues to get sick despite HAART and prophylactic treatment our Doctor has prescribed Immunokine(OXO Chemie) to help boost her immune system. I should mention that my wife is Thai and she is being treated by a leading physician in Bangkok. Can you please give me your thoughts on Immunokine? She has just completed her 2nd cycle and seems to be doing better so far."

This was a very sick person - CD4 10, PCP, Mycoplasma pneumonia, TB, chronic bronchiectasis of both lower lungs and a relapse of PCP.

The anecdotal evidence, and the accompanying response don't add up to much.

What was interesting was the Bangkok physician's apparent belief that WF10 would make the patient feel better - despite a regimen of HAART, and severe illness: what would be called "AIDS-defining events" in the P3.

Just another small piece of evidence, on the positive side. Encouraging.
