CheckFree Runs eBay-Seller Promo: No Fees in December

CheckFree announced it is running a special promotion for eBay sellers during the month of December. CheckFree Auction Payments will not charge fees for the entire month of December.

CheckFree, which announced its service for eBay users in June, is free for buyers, who can settle eBay purchases directly from their checking or money market accounts.

CheckFree normally charges sellers 1.85% + $0.30 per eBay transaction to accept payments from buyers, but all fees will be waived during the month of December.

CheckFree also announced a new feature for eBayers: combined invoices. Sellers can now combine multiple items purchased by a single buyer into one invoice. This reduces fees for sellers and potentially lowers shipping and handling costs for buyers.

CheckFree launched a "50/50 Promotion" for eBay sellers in September. Sellers who complete 50 CheckFree payment transactions in a calendar month will receive $50 in cash from the company. Each transaction must be over $20, and one buyer can not represent more than five transactions. The 50/50 Promotion runs through the end of the year.
