I like the projected design, certainly. Apart from my strong feelings about the war, I contributed largely to honor my father- in- law, who was the chief of clerical staff at SHAEF. He was in either North Africa or England, with some time on the Continent towards the end, for the entire war, rising to the rank of Master Sergeant. He had a top secret clearance, and worked directly for Eisenhower. At the end, they gave him a Bronze Star for his contribution, while being vague about what he actually did. As far as I can tell, he reorganized the headquarters and made sure it ran smoothly. He loved Ike, of course. But it was like pulling teeth to get him to talk very much about that period of time........
