NPR doesn't need anymore money because they just got a 200mm grant from the Krac (sp?) foundation. According to NPR this is the largest grant in their history, NPR funding is in the millions not *billions* that Bush doles out to his cronies. PBS same deal, these are not high dollar sinks like Bush corporate handouts.

But anyway, regarding the "war on terror", that has become a way to label anything and everything in a congressional spending free for all. What a mess.

>>ridiculous funding of anti-american organizations like PBS and NPR. <<

PBS is turning down some (or maybe all) of its USA funding now that they got the dough from Joan Kroc.

...besides they were only getting about 2% of their funding through US grants.

>>anti-american<<

Being critical of certain politicians, government policies, or exploitive Capitalism is not unpatriotic my friend.

NPR & PBS are two of the only networks that actually go DEEP into stories/issues/subjects. They are comparatively left-leaning by today's standards (not as left as they used to be) there is no question; but a listener/viewer gains a great deal of information even if one does not agree with the supposed premise/agenda per se'.
