Anyone ever tried A Mano? I tried it at a restaurant and went out and bought a case the next day. It was 10 bucks a bottle at wine.com but now they have raised the price to 13 per. Great stuff.

From wine.com:

"A. Mano 2001 Puglia Primitivo
Southern Italy, Italy

Winemaker's Notes
Think of this wine as old vine Zinfandel at an amazingly good price! Hand-crafted from indigenous Primitivo grapes (the original source for Zinfandel by the way...) it burst with dark, spicy ripe fruit. Another great value from Southern Italy!

Called A•Mano (“hand-made”), this fruit-packed, food-friendly red expresses the region’s quality potential, and the reasons for Mark’s Apulian connection.

What you get can only be characterful duo of Primitivo Puglia IGT reds with fruit you can chew on, supple body, fresh acidity: “just the kind of wine the consumer wants to drink, and drink again.”"

Best to all,pb

I like a nice dessert wine, and I just love the value priced Malvasia Bianca from Stony Ridge stonyridgewinery.com and it is under 20. I prefer the non-sparkling version, since I like to taste all the nuances of the wine. We drink many many dessert wines every year, and often have tastings with out friends- this is one of the best, imo (although my favorites will always be the expensive late harvest reislings with botyritis).
