Strong statement by Kerry in 1971 and very reminiscent of what's starting to happen in Iraq. A not-so-mini Vietnam.
This is not the fault of the military, they are trying their best and doing a fine job. The problems are at the top. In the White House. and the big mistakes have alreay been made so we can't take them back. Now all we can do is damage control and try not to delude ourselves.

This is what always seems to happen when a war is based on lies and not noble or justified by real and actual threats. Kerry has a lot to teach the Bushies when it comes to planning and managing a war. Bottomline though, war should always be the last resort, not the first and only as it was for the Bushies in 2002.
