Rivisionist history is strictly the right-wing's domain these days. Take for example Anne Coulter attempt to cleanse the McCarthy era based on evidence that they were in fact a few scattered communists around. As if they were ever an imminent threat. Meanwhile thousands of innocent lives were destroyed. The attempt to cleanse Vietnam is another example. I was a young adult then and remember how awful it was. There is no cleansing it. I'm sure there are those in Germany who are trying to cleanse Nazism. There is an argument for everything so long as you're able to twist the facts. Everyone does it to a certain degree but the current right-wing have learned to be masters of it, lying with no conscience whatsoever. The entire Bush presidency is built on a lie. He ran as one thing, then suddenly became his real self once in power. Since then it has only gotten worse, with a brief respite after 9-11 when we were all together.
