Do you have any idea what Bushies did to McCain? Party loyalty is strong, but it only goes so far. Secretly, McCain and others more toward the middle dream of the Bushies being banished. There was a time the GOP was a much more honest party. Yes, they stand for the upperclass, corporations and former Dixie-crats (ie right-wing Christians and the remnants of the old confederacy). That is their base. But moderate Republicans, who yearn to tell it like it is and actually help people, not to mention the environment and the economy, do yearn. If a far left-wing Democrat was in the White House and controlling congress I would have serious misgivings too. I might vote for the guy, but maybe not, and only with my nose firmly held.
