The GOP moderates have been the finger in the crack in the dam holding back right-wing policies. The only thing that surprises me is that more haven't followed Jeffords lead. But they are standing up to Bush in their own party. Just look at who stopped drilling in ANWAR for instance, a Bush priority, not just Dems like John Kerry but GOP moderate allies of John Kerry. In 2004, the right-wing takeover has to be stopped cold. But it's going to be a nasty fight. Right-wingers will do anything to "win" as they have proven many times, including cheating.
