Thats 21000 more families that will tighten their belts during the Christmas shopping season, and not spend much more than absolutely necessary.

With the layoff money that company pays, I am sure they will be fine. And they are in a boom economy that wants their kind of skills. Now if they lay on their ass and wait for someone to hire them, they could have a tough situation. But these kind of layoffs are normal in our kind of economy. Other economies try the "no-layoff" approach to business, and the results sink the countries.

When they are laid off, it is normal Capitalism at work. When you and I are laid off, it is a disaster. :>)
