So you think a war that costs about $200 Billion justified a Trillion dollars in deficit spending. That is what you are saying.

Bush has redefined war. This is a police action against terrorists unaffiliated with any particular nation-state. Being at "war" allows him to be a full time commander in chief, which is a hell of a lot easier politically than being a President. Carl is behind this. His actions have INCREASED terrorism, not reduced it.

In times of relative peace we run deficits... that's the problem: we always run deficits.

Only these recent developments in deficit spending are moving us to the same debt-to-GNP ratios as Argentina had just before it's economic collapse.
