There's some experimental work on tree trimming by helicopter and fixed winged aircraft....about 210 million in the FY2005 budget development work.

around my neighborhood and general area tree trimming goes on all the time by the power company and the telephone company -- it's part of the maintenance cost of the product. have the consumer groups in the northeast and midwest gotten tree-trimming price controls instituted? if yes, maybe the puc can look under that rock.
