<The polite and civilized way to control distant lands, is to buy their politicians. That's what the oil and timber companies do in Alaska. Works much better than putting a nervous 19-year-old with an automatic weapon on every street-corner.>

That's what I do too! I've bought the USA via QUALCOMM. I'm paying for USS Enterprise and civilization and have even allowed China to buy CDMA to enable them to enjoy cyberspace via phragmented photon cyberphones.

Japan is having much more success colonizing New Zealand with cash flow. I am right now in a house funded by Japanese tourists, using a WiFi connection funded by them, computers designed by them, Made in Taiwan or somewhere. Our son has adopted many Japanese cultural attributes to get the money by providing them snow-boarding services. snowadventures.co.nz

It's much more fun all round.

China threatening war is insane.

There's a big difference between the Cow in Iraq and China in Taiwan. Taiwan hasn't bowled Beijing's biggest buildings and funded terrorist explosions against China's property and people or attempted assassination of the leaders.
