Stockcharts is down right now, so I can't see that chart, Freep.

If the BKX has a static opening like the SOXX, Dow, and SPX, I think you have to look at the lows and not necessarily the opens.

If I recall, the BKX had multiple bottoms in 2002 before it finally tanked. It seems 800 was a key level that was in play on that index for some time before it broke.
