this IS China's internal affair, NONE OF YOUR/Other countries/Other People's BUSINESS.

Isn't it clear to even the most ardently nationalistic (of any nation) that anything which carries with it the possibility of nuclear holocaust is EVERYBODY's business?

Patriotism is laudable. Mindless patriotism, whether it comes from Cheney or Yiwu Zhang, is a threat to the world.

Hello Yiwu, I happen not to agree with anything in Maurice's recent outburst. It sounded like one long crazy nuclear threat to China. Very reprehensible, indeed. However I don't agree with your principle that China is none of his business. Don't you think the behaviour of cruel idiots like Bush is your business? Isn't it China's business also? Doesn't the Chinese government have to study the situation and see how to counter his threats and protectionism etc.? I consider his criminal behaviour my business also, even though I am not a US citizen. It's a global village, everybody is concerned with every one else's affairs. Kung Dzu has words which mean that. China is everybody's business, India is everybody's business, Canada is everybody's business etc. etc. etc.

Ms Zhang, I can't resist one more parting example. You surely know all about that Canadian surgeon who, 70 years ago, considered China his business. Indeed he went so far as to interfere vigorously in China's internal affairs. Mao Tse Tung praised him for this.

NO, this IS NOT China's internal affair. Whether you like it or not. Taiwan is an independent country. Get used to it.

Or else.

Yiwu, think as little as you want. Ignore all you like. If you attack and kill other people, you will find flames, blast and bullets in your face. Rightly so. You won't ignore those. Ignoring reality doesn't change reality.

I don't think there are 1.3 billion Chinese who wish to experience such horrors for the simple fun of attacking the happy go lucky people of Taiwan. But we'll see won't we.

I bet that Jiang Zemin gets pensioned off for arranging such stupid comments. Hu Jintao won't be making such idiotic remarks as those who threaten war with Taiwan.

I am "overseas Chinese" and I'm making it my business. My son-in-common-law's father fled [by swimming] from Mao's maelstrom, which makes it his and my business too. You are overseas Chinese too. Friends from Taiwan don't want MADmen from China murdering them. It's their business too. [MAD = Mutual Assured Destruction which you might have heard of from the Cold War]. You are obviously confused about what is internal and what is external and have little concept of property rights, freedom, self-determination and stuff.

Did you educate yourself by reading "On Liberty" by John Stuart Mill? It's a good place to start. You can read it via cyberspace [kindly provided by the non-Chinese who are writing China's history as you read].

Stop chanting your 'this is an internal affair' mantra. It's meaningless and obviously incorrect. Taiwan hasn't been part of China's political system for half a century.

Go buy one of those CDMA2000 phragmented photon cyberphones and see if you feel less aggressive and more cheerful. The soothing, anodyne microwaves will suffuse your mind with peace, light, harmony, happiness, health, prosperity, fun and love. We will not chant such silly mantras as "WAR WAR WAR, Fraternal, Internal, Eternal" We can use the expression Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm instead and live happily ever after in cyberspace harmony with It, our beloved Great Leader.

<< After all, this IS China's internal affair>>

Well on this one I couldn't agree more with you ...Just imagine if China had started bellyaching when the USA went into Grenada or any of the other little military adventures that we have been participatiing in over the years. Besides USA involvement wuz only becauz we thought we had to oppose communism where ever we saw it.Hopefuly we are over that BS... Has nothing to do with our concern for freedom or any of that jazz..Besides nothing whatsoever to be gained by USA involvement....They got no oil ...do they?

In any case it is more a Chinese business than an American one... just as Canada or Cuba is more America's business than China's.

DAK

BTW, the business of nuclear worry is simply created by being ignorant of the above.
