Conservatives seem to preach personal accountability, but expect themselves to completely fall apart at the mere mention of some private behavior different from their own. Sounds to me like the religious right has no willpower over their actions.

Its very tricky stuff, there's no question -- but I do believe that children (today) that may potentially grow up with gay, married neighbors or even their own gay parents will think it all rather normal.

It would only be harmful if it somehow erodes into people looking to marry a pet chimp, three wives, or what have you -- or want to marry a minor etc...

My definition of marriage is if two people want to spend the rest of their lives with each other in a state of selfless, loving support.
