How can anyone argue that our use of blunt force in Iraq and our use of our best Arab language and political guys there isn't paying dividends. NO ATTACKS ANYWHERE ELSE AND WE'RE BLOWING UP PLACES THEY USED TO BE. It doesn't get any better than that. THAT'S WHY you don't hear of any terrorist successes anymore. The world's a safer place and we should all be thankful. Well, maybe not the soldiers that are getting killed and maimed and who are running around scared shitless. Maybe they're not as thankful as they should be. And MAYBE not those folks from the U.N. that got killed and the ones from those relief organizations. And maybe not those people that got killed in Turkey by those powerful terrorist bombs. And maybe not all those people in the paths of all those new terrorists from numerous nations across the globe who now reside in populations that view the United States and England as anti-Muslim, anti-Arab, anti international law and who hate us as rich, aggressive, oppressors. But other than those people, well, and maybe the Westerners that cannot travel safely throughout much of the world for fear of being singled out and killed as a result of that hatred; yes, other than those people we are all so much safer thanks to the Bush aggressiveness against the Iraqis, the Bush preemption threats and the "for us or against us" policies implemented by our great and wise leader. Sure, it's all working. Isn't it? Well, isn't it? C'mon, I want to hear you say it over and over again the way you used to. You know, with that confident, testosterone amplified assurance. Just say it, Ok? It'll make someone feel better, even if it's only you. Those of us who think critically just shake our heads and wonder how long you can go on singing the same broken tune while it all crumbles along the edges and your peerless leader finally begins to look for a way out that won't take decades to repair. And there's the sad reality of it all.
