Dale,

Re: My preliminary (though still undecided) interest in Wesley Clark came from hearing him talk about respecting other peoples and points of view. Hardly any other candidate has voiced that need.

I have very mixed feelings about Clark. From what I've read of his term as SACEUR, he's more willing to project American military might than I'm comfortable with. OTOH, he's a fine rhetorician and I love the turns of phrase he comes up with. I also think he's about as honest and legitimate as a three dollar bill. His anti-war posing tends to drive me pretty crazy. He's playing to the activist wing of the party, for the moment. While in the months prior to the war I distinctly recall his "analysis" on CNN to be very much of a cheerleading nature. There was no doubt about the mission expressed at that time by Clark.

Clark is a Janus as far as I'm concerned. The purported inconsistencies in Howard Dean's positions pale in comparison.

Jackson marches to a different drummer, but he is one
of the most creative musicians of the 20th century. I think
he wants to be a child - because his childhood was stolen from him.

As to the facts - we'll find out - but I think the timing of his arrest - and the overkill of 60 police at Neverland on the day his album was released is an interesting coincidence.

He remains innocent until proven guilty in this great country.
