After a 13 year study paid for by taxpayers, the goverment came to the point of banning snowmobiles.

As I said, prove that snowmobiles cause damage to wildlife. Prove it. (Nevermind, you can't).

The American public, to whom the park belongs, is in favor of blocking snowmobiles.

Bull. Again, prove it. This is the usual liberal claptrap garbage.

I have never been to Yellowstone in winter, but I cannot imagine the stunning beauty of the place and the Tetons and their natural winter silence gone with thousands of snowmobile riders racing through it.

That's a different thing. The question is, "Does it do environmental damage". The answer is, "There is no evidence to suggest that it does". I live in a National Park where motor vehicles are banned on hiking trails. When on those trails, I've often thought how great it would be if they would allow us to ride dirtbikes there. That's just me, though.

Not to mention the effect on flaura and fauna.

Oh, crap.

Snowmobiles run on two-cycle engines (oil and gas). They emit a lot of smoke and pollution. Park rangers at the entry gates have had to wear gas masks at times and had fresh air piped in.

This is a load of crap. I've been to many trail/motocross races where there were a hell of a lot more 2 stroke engines in a much smaller space. Never had a bit of trouble breathing.
