The 4GHz part will, of course, be Intel's 90nm 'Prescott' chip. Otellini said the company will ramp up its 90nm process aggressively through next year. He expects 60 per cent of Intel's desktop CPU shipments to be Prescotts come Q2 2004.

DiVit - let's not confuse the issue. Deerfield is a 'low power' chip with lower performance as well, comparable to AMD's 30 watt designs. Both Itanium and upcoming Prescott top end chips are at 120W.
