I know I spent a lot of time on vails back bowls and some of it is easily skiiable, but I tell ya.....I am a sucker for pain and adrenaline and I always go for the hardest parts on those bowls and I tell ya, any steeper then parts I have been on and you would just fall to the bottom <ggg>...I've been on some parts that are so steep, you can almost lean back against the mountain and you are still 100% verticle. I can't imagine anything steeper. Throw in the hidden cliffs and extreme parts and it is one harrowing ride down the mountain. I actually did a very stupid thing and hit the back bowls one day during a white out after 5 feet of snow..the bowls were closed, but me and a buddy couldnt resist. I can honestly say we are both lucky to be alive..one of the dumbest things I have ever done...but it sure was fun <ggg>....once I knew I was going to live that is. I've seen the back bowls pretty flat and icy, but when fresh snow hits, it is incredible. Hit most of the good U.S. and canadian slopes.....but want to ski europe and compare......My cousin just bought a condo right on mamouth....I'm itching to go......free place to stay makes it a lot more fun <ggg>....especially when it is right on the mountain and doesnt cost $500 a night.....and she said her boy can get me free lift tickets.......when is the plane leaving??? I think it is about time for some new ski's too......
