If Bob Kerrey were running this year that would be a big plus for him. 2004 is unlike any election in recent memory since we are in a war-like frame of mind, having been attacked, and Bush has gotten us into a terrible war. It takes a war expert to make people both feel secure and to end that stupid war with the minimum of deaths and cost.

Clinton was quoted recently saying he didn't think he could have won in 2004 with his domestic agenda and zero foreign policy or military experience. He's probably right. That's why Dean is a cooked goose if he gets nominated, yet Kerry-Clark would be unbeatable. Might even carry states like Kentucky and North Carolina, though they wouldn't need to to win. All they'd need to carry would be florida, and they could. Clark-Kerry could also do the job.
