On the contrary! If anything, my Gladio/Al-Qaeda theory is much less far-fetched than the "official conspiracies" on 911 that have been allowed to spread so far... I've already broached that issue in the following posts:Message 19091880 Message 19094615 And remember that my interest for OBL/Al-Qaeda dates back to 1998 --I'll spare you all the discussions I had with Ron Reece (aka Hawkmoon) about the bombings of the two US embassies in Nairobi and Dar es-Salaam (on Aug 7th, 1998). The '98 bombings killed about 275 people, 260 of them were innocent African passersby... in predominantly Muslim countries. If Al-Qaeda were really an Islamic outfit powerful enough to perpetrate 911, the Bali bombings, the Istanbul bombings, the Nairobi/Tanzania bombings IN TOTAL IMPUNITY --after all, its alleged masterminds (OBL and Mullah Omar) are still on the loose... then it should be able to bring its terror in Britain, in Spain, in Italy and again in the US as well! It doesn't make sense at all for a Muslim terrorist outfit to murder fellow Muslims indiscriminately in Muslim countries. Now, the official spiel to explain away such a strategy is that Al-Qaeda seeks to alienate pro-Western Muslim countries from the West... well, alright, but then... why not start with Muslim immigrants WITHIN Western countries (US & Europe)?? Terrorism experts retort that security in Western countries has been beefed up to the point where it's impossible for al-qaeda to achieve anything --LOL! The anthrax scare, the shoe-bomber,... all occured AFTER 911 when anti-terrorist awareness was at fever pitch. Finally, as I said several years ago, US intelligence has foolishly taken on Islam as just another "ideology"... For US intelligence, Islam is like Communism, that is, a mere "opinion" --people can switch opinions. In the aftermath of WWII, about 25% of public opinion in France and Italy were staunch Communists --today, half of them has turned social-democrats and the rest has switched to the far-right!! But the collapse of Communism is irrelevant to deal with a religious/cultural phenomenon --hence the terrible mistake by the Judeoconservatives. The American crusaders can't convert over 300 million Arab Muslims. Gus
