Yes I know, the war ended in 1975, not 1976. My mistake.
1976 was the year Carter won. By then the war was definitely over and it was time to pay off the humgonous debts of the war. In fact we are still paying them off. A lesson to apply to Iraq as well. deficit-financed wars seem never to get paid off. So much for fiscal conservatism.

Thousands more Americans WOULD have died if the war had gone on longer. Past 1970-1972 when it should have ended. By then, when Kerry was protesting, the uselessness and hopelessness of it was all too apparent.

One year off. Is that what you guys were howling about and wasting hours of time on? My being off by one year? LOL Talk about splitting hairs. Okay, I was off by a year. Satisfied? I'm not sure which year the Stones released "Sticky Fingers" either. Could be 73, 74, whatever.

Thanks, CJ, for saving me the trouble of exposing the lie. Hope you're having a good weekend. ;-)
