"Otellini singled out Sun Microsystems for special treatment. Sun had lost three percentage points of share in three years, said the Intel President, while Intel had grow four points. With Sun's low volumes, it was less able to drive standards in the industry."

Room - yes I know Otellini said THIS YEAR, that's why everyone is laughing. Do you know how many they sold LAST YEAR??? Hint - Given that they have only sold or given away maybe 100,000 in the entire history of Itanium so far, the number for last year is a LOT less than 100,000. BTW, Dataquest says that more than 80% of those were through HP, and that HP 'seeded' (i.e. gave away) more than 2/3 of the product they moved.
