Larry, the world was a different place 40 years ago; and many of us were a lot more innocent than we are today

I was driving to Maine that day to go deer hunting when I heard the news on the radio
and has just enlisted in the Marine Corps

of course that was devastating news; maybe a bit more so as JFK was a "local boy" for us living in Mass.

at the time we thought he was a God (less so now in hindsight) and was going to save the world

there is little question that the world situation today, 911 et al, is many times more important than the loss of that one man
