BUSH AWOL

AS,

What Howard Dean did to escape the draft was done by millions of other children of privilege. Singling him out is silly.

It is Bush's despicable record as a deserter that needs to be highlighted.

And I won't be making a case against Kerry for going off to murder innocents in a war that he felt ambiguously about even at the moment that he was pulling the trigger to kill people half way around the globe with mixed feelings about what he was up to. This episode of Kerry's life shows a profound moral ambiguity and does not reflect well on the man. Dean's position was far more honorable in my eyes. Participating in an illegal and brutal war when you are not certain of its validity is no heroic act.
