Hi Kumar, I was a much better marksman with M-16 than the CAR-15...the older M-4. But I carried the CAR on patrol because the shorter barrel and stock made it much easier to manage with a full combat load. The biggest difference today is the sight and the variety of sites available for the M-4. My grandkids could shoot the eyes out of an enemy soldier with the new electronic sights. Because the sights are so doggone good, everyone can carry an M-4 and shoot much better than they could with an M-16. The M-4 is far superior to anything else I know of on the current battlefield...So I think it is terrific that all the US troops will be getting them. uw
