"it wasn't a gay disease" was their rallying cry.

They have done everything possible to "hetrosexual" it. There was more open bigotry on the right than on the left. Today reports show that Gays are refusing to use contraceptives, and that unprotected gay sex is the biggest spreader of it by far.

But the charge of "It's your own fault" is unacceptable to the Gay community. They live in a dream world where a "cure" is just around the corner and is being stopped by those mean conservatives who won't provide more Federal Funding.

If we had to depend on Federal Funding for a cure for Polio, we would have the finest Iron Lungs the world has ever seen, and no Vaccine.

But what he fails to account for is during the early eighties the gay population was doing everything in its power to distance itself from the aids epidemic

This is true, Michael. All one will have to do is go to the library, and look up the printed magazines of the early 1980's. There are too many of them to change, whereas on internet, things can, and do, get changed, or made more politically correct.
