WR,

Re: we know about things like releasing bacteria (Serritia , I believe) off the coast of SF in the 50's. Nowadays,we have genetic engineering. Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of mankind?

Laurie Garrett wrote a fascinating book (1) about what evil lurks in the heart of the crazy and wicked men who work at AMRIID (2). The bug guys. In the aftermath of the still unsolved anthrax attacks on the Democratic leadership in 2001, AMRIID got an additional $5 Billion for germ warfare research. Undoubtedly they are creating some super bugs that will eventually be released in one of the most heinous acts of ethnic cleansing mankind will ever endure.

The fascists in the Project for A New American Century prescribed that the DoD should investigate biological warfare vectors that could be specifically directed at particular human genotypes. Such as a bug that infects Han Chinese, or Arabs, but leaves Europeans and European-Americans untouched. It's pretty cynical stuff they are playing with.
