I'm sorry I had no idea what FPTP meant until just this minute. (see below) I have no idea why we use this system. Are there other systems that work better? Does it really make any difference in the long run?

A few miles from here is a multi-million dollar state of the art CBC broadcasting facility. I can't remember the last time I listened to or watched a CBC program and since I never vote I'm not concerned with election hijinks. Is Michael Jackson a Canadian politician?
