The US consumer should not be the only one paying "free market" price. Whatever it takes to remove this inequity I'm for it. Whether it be re-importation through canadian pharmacies or equity with their prices and other Western Democracies. It's out of whack and should be a non-partisan issue.

Tommy Thompson came out the other night on cnbc and said he has found fake and lower grade milligrams in drugs coming from Canada. He will not approve Canada drug imports. I wish he would publize his findings , we deserve to hear more details as this kind of finding can kill people.

The drug bill is a good bill for those low income not covered by a plan.. It is not designed to cover middle income or higher. The donut gap they talk about if filled would be another 400 billion in federal costs...

some states like Pa. Nj. have drug programs for the lower income and they are much better than the fed bill proposed.
Kennedy was all for the drug program , he is making a big fuss because of the test of a few locations in 2010 with outside plans. If that were not in the bill he would be supporting it.

Another concern of course is, will our corporations now unload the retirees from there plans and dump them into medicare. Can you imagine the savings to these corporations in avoiding high drug costs for elderly.
