LOL!! Being a lifelong COWBLOY fan,I too have always referred to the eagles as...something else..often the bEAGLES

that Buddy Ryan was a funny fugger though..he called the shotgun offense the "chuck and duck"...LOL!!

Believe it or not there is a story that goes with the name Beagles.

Credit probably goes to Mike McCormack who was their head coach in the early 70's (right before Vermeil) who had commented after a particular poor showing that the Birds played like dogs.
