Hi Karen,
I was just ranting a bit yesterday. I live in a world here in NJ where rich old folks collect their SS, refuse to vote for schools, and get senior discounts everywhere, while young married folks with kids who are earning substantial money are mired in education and housing debt trying the best they can to make a go of it. End of marriage penalty was a big deal for them. Perhaps just some recognition by the rich old folks that there is a common interest in the future of their grandkids and great grandkids. How about prescription drug benefit for dependent kids. The cost of the SS and Medicare entitlements for folks who dont need it can be diverted to our youngest folks where needed. Mike
