It's not just the US and Switzerland. My comparison also included France and Germany. But the results are roughly the same if we compare the US to almost any western European country, Canada or Japan. And even some dirt poor countries, like Cuba, have health statistics that rival ours.

We cannot dismiss these as merely "cultural" differences. Many of these countries with far superior health statistics at much lower cost have large underclass immigrant populations, just like the US.
