Today at the IRF ASM in sunny Temecula, CA the IRF CEO Dr. Alex Lidow was asked the following two (2) questions concerning silicon carbide.

1. Q: Would you describe the scope of IRF's near term plans for SiC based semi products?

A: We have some SiC products that are currently being sampled by customers.

2. Q: What firm is the source of the SiC wafers?

A: Cannot reveal manufacturer!

Dr. Lidow briefly also discuseed that IRF was looking at some other "materials" in addition to SiC. He further stated that IRF saw large market gains for SiC and other "materials" in the future from a current very low base level.

NOTE: In the past 1-2 years or so IRF has been making good progress in shedding low profit products and seems to be on a concerted effort to better publicize the firm and get their story out - greater margins & higher percent of proprietary products!

This was by far the most up beat of the IRF ASM that I've attended.

Insofar as the Lehman upping of target from $48 to $52 today - Ho Hum!!!! IMO IRF will be around $60 + or - a couple of $ before 2/1/04!
