The Time editor said that Bush's negative ratings are up to 40%!!!

The last poll I read had Bush's negative at 33% and imho that is the stamp of a loser, since strong negatives really motivate votes. 40% is terrible, unless something really changes I can't see how he can win.

I think the republicans should nominate a centrist candidate like Colin Powell and salvage what they can in 04.
